Hey there!

I am Muskan Imran, and together with my mother Shaleen, we are the driving force behind Harmonious Hearts. I would like to take you on a journey into the heart and soul of our charitable foundation. Growing up in Darya Ganj, Delhi, the same neighbourhood that Harmonious Hearts is working in, and being raised in a household with only one parent, I know the struggles and challenges that girls are facing here. My mother is my role model.

Despite marital abuse, anti-woman social stigma, and cultural shame, her unwavering sacrifice and relentless determination to take care of my younger sister and me while she worked tirelessly have kindled a fire in me—the desire to help others and the urge to create opportunities for those who need it most.

Our Story & Motivation

1. My Values

The years of my mother's life in an orphanage, my own childhood, and my mom's courage to finally break free have shaped me. All my life, she taught me how important it is to help others in need. We were unable to make a financial contribution, but we found other ways to help.

2. The Power of Education

Three jobs allowed my mother to finance my education. Today I hold an MBA and a master's degree in communication that enable me to work in international marketing, travel, and live in a multicultural environment. These new impressions have made me very aware of the power of education.

3. Catalyst

Inspired by my mother's perseverance, I felt obliged to help other girls get out of difficult circumstances. We have already been supporting girls with access to education and other necessities, and because of this, I thought it's time to formalise and intensify our efforts.

4.  Commitment

For me, Harmonious Hearts is not just an organisation; it is a part of me. Our daily presence in the community enables us to truly understand the social and cultural difficulties that girls are going through. We know their dreams, hopes, and challenges too well.

5. Compliance

My mother and my partner, Nicholas, share my passion for this vision and have helped me cope with the complex administrative tasks of proper registration. Recently, the Harmonious Hearts Foundation in India got registered as an official non-profit organisation (NGO) that complies with all Indian regulations (CIN: U86909DL2023NPL417866).

6. Goal

Our goal is to use technology and social media to build a sustainable bridge between underprivileged girls and younger generations in developed countries. We are not the only ones working towards this goal, but we are on the ground and ready to act quickly wherever necessary because we understand the dynamics and challenges too well.

How can we help?

  • We are on the ground and understand the conditions and dynamics in Delhi.

  • We focus where unbureaucratic and quick help is needed action.

  • We encourage the desire for education and support learners with advice and action.

  • We work as volunteers. Costs are incurred only for operations (communication, website maintenance, transaction costs, etc.) We strictly follow the Indian
    regulations.
